Meet Our Team

My name is Meagan Tucker, and I am the proud owner of Elysian Studio. I graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Birmingham in 2014 and have over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry. In 2018, I opened Elysian Studio and have had the privilege of working alongside an incredible team of talented girls.

I have been married to my best friend, Aaron, since 2015 and we have two little fur babies Marlo & Leo. Outside of the studio, I love to travel and am always planning our next adventure. Additionally, I enjoy focusing on my fitness and health, cooking new recipes with my husband, and instructing classes at a local Pilates studio.

What truly brings me fulfillment in my work is the meaningful connections and impactful conversations I have with my clients. These moments are what make this profession so rewarding, as they give my work purpose.

At the studio, my specialties include hand tied extensions, blonding, lived-in colors, and providing customized looks for any occasion, ranging from natural to full glam!

My name is Ashlyn King, and I am happily married to my best friend, Jaron and we are currently expecting our first baby! In addition to our growing family, we also have 2 fur babies: Luna and Ella.

I have had the pleasure of working with Elysian Studio since 2018, and I have truly enjoyed every moment. As the Event Manager, I play a key role in coordinating and managing weddings, working closely with our brides to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

In 2021, I earned my cosmetology license from Paul Mitchell the School Birmingham, which allowed me to expand my role as a stylist.

In the salon, I specialize in highlights, color, cutting, event hair and makeup, and extensions. My greatest joy in this profession is the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful individuals and help clients feel their absolute best!

My name is Alex Thomas! I graduated from Aveda Institute in 2016 and have been working at Elysian Studio for 6 years. I’m married to my husband Judd, and we have a baby boy named Colson. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and going to the lake!

In the salon I offer a range of color services, hand tied extensions and special event makeup. My favorite thing about working in this field is the relationships I get to make with my clients and helping them achieve their hair goals!

My name is Makenzie Jewell, and I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 2019. Elysian Studio is the only salon I have ever called home. I am married to my best friend, Kainen, and together we enjoy cooking, collecting vinyl records, kayaking, and exploring the outdoors. We are also fur parents to nine cats.

When I’m not in the salon, you can often find me thrifting, attending estate sales, or enjoying a quiet day at home. Self-expression is very important to me, so my favorite part of my career is being able to create art through hair and makeup, and help clients feel like the best version of themselves.

I offer a variety of services, including color (with a specialization in reds), women’s haircuts, hand-tied extensions, and wedding or special event hair and makeup.

My name is Corbin Pickle, and I have been a part of Elysian Studio since 2021, after graduating from Body Logic School of Esthetics. As a solo esthetician, I offer a range of beauty services with a specialization in brow shaping and design. My passion for esthetics lies in helping clients feel their best while providing a pampering, relaxing experience.

I love exploring new places, whether that’s here in Birmingham or around the world. I have a Chinese Crested dog named Tink, who is nothing short of a princess. Outside the salon, I can often be found spending time with friends and family, dining out, shopping, or relaxing with Tink.

My name is Haley May, and I began my journey at Elysian Studio as an assistant in 2020. After graduating high school, I attended cosmetology school to earn my license, and I have been working as a stylist since 2023.

Outside of the salon, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my three dogs. I also love shopping and tanning.

In the salon, I offer a wide range of services, with a particular passion for creating natural, lived-in color looks.

My name is Caleigh Price, and I currently serve as an assistant to Meagan here at Elysian Studio. I have been with the studio since 2022 and am actively working through the apprenticeship process to obtain my cosmetology license.

I am excited to begin taking on clients in the salon, but in the meantime, I thoroughly enjoy every hands-on opportunity that comes my way. My passion for cosmetology, particularly makeup, has always been strong. I especially love glamming clients on wedding days and engaging in meaningful conversations with them.

When I’m not at the salon or working a wedding, you can often find me at a local coffee shop, followed by a visit to antique stores or thrift shops.
